Why social networking site facebook or twiter/utube etc is necessary for contacting people, friends etc. I can do the same in my normal email, why then those are required? What extra benefit it brings? Can anybody really explain me better way? I don't see any problem contacting with all my 100/even 1000 friends in my normal yahoo, gmail email account, why then a facebook?Why Social networking site Facebook or Twiter is so popular? Using Facebook (It can also apply to twitter, et al) you have an instant view of your friends and relatives details such as birthdays, events, and instant messages (my family give me updates of football scores via FB on their mobiles, live from the match, and it is cheaper than texting! and we get to comment on the message).
There is also the game playing, many of my family have farms on FarmVille.
