Using messenger and social networking sites are not allowed in the office so what sites can i use to chat?

I'm an intern working in a government office. They absolutely don't allow me to surf myspace and facebook, i cannot open the messenger box too. The only thing they allow me is surfing the internet plus email. It's making me crazy and super bored being here 11 hours a day, 4 times a week and cannot talk to my friends online.
