A friend and I at school are planning to open a social networking site. We have the specifics charted out, and are on the lookout for people with computer skills to help us. We were wondering what computer equipment we might be needing initially. We have come up with a rough draft, listing 5 computers, 2 servers and database administrator software, but are unsure if these would suffice. In all honesty it depends on what your target is. If you are looking at a myspace type thing you would of course need something A LOT larder than what you have lol. But for a small network that is good. What i would recommend though is that you go and check out the scripts that are floating around the net. They are a perfect place to start experimenting. just google "social network scripts"
