Ubiquitous computing (or pervasive computing) is the availability of computational power on demand in your vicinity to such a degree that information processing has been integrated into everyday objects and activities.
Pervasive networking is the ability for devices to (semi-) autonomously arrange themselves into local networks and exchange information through these networks. This is often dependent on some middleware layer capabilities. It does not necessarily include much in the way of processing power.
Overlay networks of various kinds, such as BitTorrent and other peer-to-peer networks either with a sentral hub (DC++, the original Kazaa) or with some form of decentralized distribution (distributed hash tables and so forth) may be examples that show types of pervasive networking. Bluetooth devices that communicate automatically with other devices may also be examples of this.
